JGSA Lawyers, our Portuguese EALG member, recently held for its colleagues, clients, and partners a conference on the topic “Blockchain Law: an overview – brief explanation on how blockchain, smart contract, NFT and DAO work, discussion on selected law related topics”.
MLaw Mr. Riccardo Salvioni, legal trainee at CBM Studio Legale e Notarile (Lugano) and part-time consultant for tech startups, was the speaker.
The session started with a comprehensive overview of blockchain technology and brief insights into Blockchain, Smart Contracts, NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) and DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organisations).
The technical overview was followed by an insightful discussion on selected legal topics, focusing on these technologies’ legal implications and regulatory framework.
