Ms. Lau will continue her practice in commercial litigation, Title IX actions and college disciplinary matters. Her experience includes state and federal practice, trials, arbitrations, mediations and appeals. Ms. Lau also handles intra-company disputes among partnerships, corporations and limited liability companies in the hospitality, energy and real estate industries.
As an expert in Title IX matters, Ms. Lau has represented numerous student clients in proceedings to combat gender discrimination at major colleges and universities. Ms. Lau regularly serves in a critical advisory role during student disciplinary proceedings. She possesses a detailed knowledge of the federal and state laws affecting educational institutions, which enables her to successfully represent clients, and address their disciplinary records. Ms. Lau has lectured and writes on Title IX issues.
